Kidney Diseases Research Center

Kidney diseases are usually asymptomatic until their progressive stages. They considered as an important health problem due to their costs for health care systems as well as compromisingindividual health. Chronic Kidney disease (CKD) is considered as an important health problem due to its costs for health care systems as well as compromisingindividual health. Thus, prevention, diagnosis and proper management of the disease could improve public health and reduce burden of the disease.

Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine Research Center

This center was established in 1994. The objective of IDRC is to improve diagnosis and treatment of infectious and tropical diseases via basic and clinical research. The center houses molecular, cellular and bacteriology laboratories and hepatitis clinic, and is a member of the Iranian Molecular Medicine and Hepatitis Networks. Its priorities include surveillance of nosocomial, sexuality transmitted, blood borne, and respiratory infections.

Hospital Infections Research Center

Established in 2011 the main goals andactivities of this research center include:

·         Conducting epidemiological and fundamental clinical research in related areas,

·         Providing specialized diagnostic services for infectious diseases,

·         Training researchers for medical and epidemiological studies in the field of infection control,

·         Collaboration with national and international institutes in the field of hospital infections.
